Christina McCaughey RICP®, founder and financial advisor at Alphera Wealth Advisors, a private wealth advisory practice based in New York City. Ms. McCaughey focuses on personal financial planning including retirement strategies and planning, wealth management, financial protection, tax efficient strategies and alternative investing. In addition to personal comprehensive financial planning, Ms. McCaughey assists companies with 401K plans and employee benefits.
Ms. McCaughey began her career in investment banking and spent 20+ years working for leading Wall Street firms: Salomon Brothers, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Barclays, NYSE, and State Street across 3 countries before becoming a financial advisor. In 2015, Ms. McCaughey began her financial advisor career at AXA Advisors, LLC., before joining Iron Birch Advisors, an Ameriprise private wealth advisory practice, as a Managing Partner based in New York City. In 2025, Ms. McCaughey decided to form her own independent wealth management practice and founded Alphera Wealth Advisors.

Christina McCaughey is a graduate of the University of Connecticut having attained a bachelor’s degree in economics. After college, Ms. McCaughey traveled to Europe on a Bilingual Career Program where she studied at the Mannheim Universität and began working at the US premier investment bank, Salomon Brothers in Frankfurt, Germany and London, England. She resides in Manhattan and Connecticut with her husband and daughter.
